What We Love About Living Here
Our two-level home feels like a house with large rooms, walk-in closets, plenty of sunlight, an open floor plan layout, and modern design including a gas fireplace. We have access to the home on both the ground level and 1st floor landing. Our backyard is spacious and private, surrounded by tall trees, landscaping, and is perfect for afternoon barbeques.
We are superbly located on a quiet street with minimal traffic so neighbors and their kids can play together on the street. In fact, it is a great street to learn to bike on. Our experience is the neighborhood, and our block, as being very safe as the area is regularly patrolled. We are also less than a block away from a shopping center which, while close, has no noise and is not visible from the home. It is a 2 minute walk to get to 2 premium grocery stores, Starbucks, Peets, Walgreens, various banks, a wine shop and Books Inc We are also just 3 minute walk from Sacramento Street where you’ll find our favorite restaurant bar at Spruce, an elegant award-winning restaurant, plus a wide array of other dining options, luxurious home design shops, dry cleaners and the best fashion boutiques in SF. Not to mention, a host of activities and shops dedicated to toddlers. The Presidio public library is easy to access as well.
We are walkable to 3 playgrounds which is great for the kids, and we really like our neighbors who socialize and look out for each other. We enjoy being walkable to the nearby Presidio with its redwood trees, hiking trails, and the occasional coyote sightings. On Sundays, we usually take a short walk to the Clement Street Farmers Market to load up on fresh ingredients for the week.
All in all, this neighborhood is a great hub that is central to pretty much everything San Francisco has to offer. Divisadero, Fillmore, and Chestnut Street shops and restaurants are easily accessible, you can bike to Golden Gate Park on Sundays, and everything from the Marina up to the Haight is right at our fingertips. And if you need to get downtown or back, it is a quick 5-7-minute ride down Bush Street or up Pine Street with timed traffic lights. We are also located for easy access to the California, Geary, and Masonic bus lines.
We absolutely love the conveniences of city living in this friendly neighborhood.
